Christantus Uche Ignites Dominant Palace Victory at Irish Side Shelbourne.

Even though entering their first-ever continental campaign, Crystal Palace are learning very quickly. Missing star players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club departed Dublin with a comfortable win that virtually secures them a place in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.

A further victory in their upcoming fixture against Finland's KuPS should be sufficient to seal straight passage to the knockout stages, especially following a previous stumble against Strasbourg.

Squad Members Grasp the Opportunity

This occasion offered a platform for some of Palace's lesser-used players to shine. Christantus Uche, in only his second beginning since arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a clinical finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, scoring for the second consecutive match.

Following the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to rest several players like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse almost scoring his very first touch, only to see his effort blocked.

The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche also missed a glaring chance, indicating there is still scope for development in his game.

The only concern for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, capping an otherwise positive night for the traveling side.
